During the month of September , Sergeant James Coffey (Prince’s Lakes Police), Officer Lee Britt (Trafalgar Police Department), and Reserve Officer John Grounds (Prince’s Lakes Police Department) hosted two full days of training. The training was held at the old Indian Creek elementary school. Officers from PLPD, TPD, and WPD attended. A total of 31 officers were trained in the newest, latest, current tactics of how to deal with an active shooter. This class was based on the teaching complied from the FBI, DHS, and Texas State University.
Each class was nine hours long which consisted of classroom and live fire exercises. Volunteer role players consisted of staff from Bargersville Fire Department , Trafalgar Fire Department, Nineveh Fire Department, Flat Rock Fire Department, and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
